1. WHAT MADE WITH LOVE YYC IS

Made with Love YYC is a local-first online marketplace that connects customers with independent artisans and makers.

We provide the platform — you are the seller.

2. WHAT YOU CAN SELL

You may sell products or services that are:

• Handmade by you
• Hand-assembled by you
• Artist-designed or significantly modified by you
• Original digital downloads or creative virtual products
• Artisan-based services provided directly by you (e.g., creative, wellness, or beauty services)

Service providers must comply with all applicable local licensing, insurance, health, and regulatory requirements related to their trade.

MadeWithLoveYYC acts solely as a marketplace platform and is not responsible for the delivery, safety, or outcomes of services provided by vendors.

3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT SELL

You may not sell:

• Mass-produced items
• Drop-shipped products
• Resale items sourced from AliExpress, Temu, Amazon, or similar marketplaces

Limited manufacturing assistance is permitted only if fully disclosed and approved by MadeWithLoveYYC.

4. FEES & COMMISSION (SIMPLE BREAKDOWN)

When you make a sale:

Platform Commission

To support platform operations, marketing, and the growth of the MadeWithLoveYYC marketplace, we currently charge an introductory commission rate of 6% + $1.00 CAD per order.

This reduced launch rate is available while the marketplace is growing. As the platform expands and more customers are brought to the site through advertising and promotion, the standard commission rate will adjust to 9% + $1.00 CAD per order.

Micro-Item Vendor Rate

Vendors whose products are all priced at $10.00 CAD or less may qualify for a reduced flat commission rate of 5% per sale (no $1 fixed fee).

To qualify for this rate:

• All products listed in the Vendor’s store must be priced $10.00 CAD or less
• Vendors must request approval from MadeWithLoveYYC after registering
• MadeWithLoveYYC reserves the right to review listings and determine eligibility for the reduced rate

If a Vendor lists products above $10.00 CAD, the Vendor may be moved to the standard marketplace commission structure.

Our goal is to keep fees fair while continuing to invest in marketing, platform improvements, and bringing more buyers to support local handmade businesses.

5. PAYMENT PROCESSING FEES

Vendors are responsible for payment processing fees based on the payment method selected by the customer:

• Credit Card (Stripe): 2.9% + $0.30 CAD
• Pre-Authorized Debit (Bank Debit): 1% CAD
• Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later): 6%
• Affirm (Buy Now, Pay Later): 6%
• Afterpay (Buy Now, Pay Later): 6%

There are no hidden fees and no fees to withdraw your funds.

6. SHIPPING OPTIONS

This is a local-first marketplace, but you choose where you ship or if you allow customer pick-ups:

• Local pick-ups (usually free)
• Local Calgary Delivery only (flat rate)
• If the Demand is there, we will offer Canada wide shipping in future.

If you do want to ship Canada wide, you will have to arrange that with the customer.

7. TAXES

You are responsible for:

• Charging applicable taxes (GST / PST / HST if required)
• Reporting and remitting your own taxes

8. ORDERS & CUSTOMER SERVICE

You are responsible for:

• Fulfilling orders on time
• Packaging products safely
• Responding to customers professionally
• Handling returns according to your posted policy

9. PLATFORM RULES

You agree to:

• Sell honestly and accurately
• Follow marketplace policies
• Not bypass the platform to avoid fees

Failure to follow the rules may result in listing removal, suspension, or account termination.

10. LEGAL STUFF (SHORT VERSION)

• You are an independent seller, not an employee
• Made with Love YYC is not responsible for your products, fulfillment, or services
• Alberta law applies

Vendor Agreement

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

This Vendor Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Made with Love YYC (“Platform,” “we,” “us”) and the individual or business registering as a vendor (“Vendor,” “you”). This Agreement governs your use of the Made with Love YYC marketplace located at madewithloveyyc.ca.

By registering as a Vendor, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. PLATFORM ROLE & INDEPENDENT RELATIONSHIP

Made with Love YYC operates solely as an online marketplace platform. We are not a party to any transaction between Vendors and customers.

Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship between you and Made with Love YYC.

You operate as an independent seller.

2. VENDOR ELIGIBILITY

To sell on the Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have legal authority to sell listed products or services
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain any required business licenses (if applicable)

3. VENDOR ACCOUNTS

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity under your account
• Keeping your account information current

Vendor accounts are non-transferable without written approval.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement.

4. PRODUCTS & SERVICES

Vendors may only list products or services that:

• Are handmade, significantly modified, artist-designed, or artisan-created
• Comply with applicable laws and safety regulations
• Are accurately described

Service providers must:

• Maintain any required licenses or certifications
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Comply with all health, safety, and regulatory standards

Made with Love YYC is not responsible for the delivery, safety, quality, or outcome of services.

5. PRICING, TAXES & FEES

Vendors:

• Set their own pricing and shipping rates
• Are solely responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes

Platform commission and processing fees are disclosed on the Vendor Agreement page and/or in the Vendor Dashboard.

We reserve the right to modify platform fees with reasonable notice.

All fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

6. PAYMENTS & PAYOUTS

Vendor earnings will be processed according to the payout schedule and method selected in the Vendor Dashboard.

Made with Love YYC reserves the right to:

• Withhold or delay payouts in cases of suspected fraud
• Offset amounts owed due to chargebacks, refunds, disputes, or policy violations
• Maintain reasonable reserves to protect the Platform from financial risk

7. ORDERS, FULFILLMENT & SHIPPING

Vendors are solely responsible for:

• Timely order fulfillment
• Accurate tracking information (if applicable)
• Secure and appropriate packaging

Failure to meet fulfillment standards may result in suspension.

8. RETURNS, REFUNDS & DISPUTES

Vendors must:

• Clearly publish return and refund policies
• Respond to customers professionally
• Comply with Canadian consumer protection laws

Made with Love YYC may intervene in disputes but is not obligated to issue refunds on behalf of Vendors.

9. CHARGEBACKS & FRAUD

Vendors are financially responsible for chargebacks, disputes, or fraud-related losses connected to their products or transactions.

The Platform may deduct such amounts from future payouts where applicable.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Vendors retain ownership of their content.

By listing products, you grant Made with Love YYC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, promote, and market your content for marketplace-related purposes.

11. DATA PRIVACY

Vendors may receive limited customer information for order fulfillment purposes.

Vendors agree to:

• Use customer data only for order fulfillment and support
• Not use customer data for unauthorized marketing
• Protect customer data from misuse or disclosure

12. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

Vendors may not:

• Circumvent platform fees or payment systems
• Direct customers off-platform to avoid commissions
• Post deceptive or misleading listings
• Engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior

13. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS

Vendors agree to comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws, including consumer protection, product safety, tax compliance, and intellectual property laws.

14. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate vendor accounts for policy violations, repeated complaints, fraud, abuse, or failure to fulfill orders.

Upon termination, Vendors remain responsible for outstanding customer obligations.

15. NO WARRANTIES

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.

16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Made with Love YYC’s total liability shall not exceed the total commissions earned from the Vendor in the preceding six (6) months.

17. INDEMNIFICATION

Vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Made with Love YYC from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from products/services sold, vendor conduct, or breach of this Agreement.

18. FORCE MAJEURE

Made with Love YYC is not liable for delays or failures resulting from causes beyond reasonable control.

19. MODIFICATIONS TO AGREEMENT

We may update this Agreement at any time. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

20. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.

21. SURVIVAL

Sections relating to liability, indemnification, intellectual property, data privacy, and payment obligations survive termination.

22. CIRCUMVENTION OF MARKETPLACE FEES

Users and Vendors agree not to circumvent the Made with Love YYC platform in order to avoid marketplace fees.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Directing customers to purchase items outside the Website after initial contact through the platform
• Sharing contact information for the purpose of completing transactions outside the marketplace
• Encouraging customers to cancel orders and complete payment outside the Website

Transactions that originate through Made with Love YYC must be completed through the platform.

Made with Love YYC reserves the right to take action against accounts that attempt to circumvent marketplace fees, including suspension or termination of accounts.

23. VENDOR PROMOTION & EXTERNAL LINKS

Vendors may not use the Made with Love YYC platform to promote or direct customers to external websites, marketplaces, or payment methods for the purpose of completing transactions outside the platform.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Posting links to external stores or marketplaces within product listings, descriptions, or images
• Sending customers external website links through platform messaging for the purpose of completing purchases outside the marketplace
• Including contact information intended to bypass the platform’s checkout process

Vendors may include limited branding or social media references where permitted, provided they are not used to circumvent marketplace transactions.

Made with Love YYC reserves the right to remove listings, restrict content, or suspend Vendor accounts that violate this policy.
