1. About Made with Love YYC

Made with Love YYC is an online community marketplace that connects independent artisans and makers (“Vendors”) with customers.

Made with Love YYC provides the platform only. Vendors are independent third parties who list, sell, and ship their own products directly to customers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use this Website or make purchases.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Website, you may need to create an account.

By creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and current information
Maintain the security of your login credentials
Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Marketplace Disclaimer

Made with Love YYC operates solely as a marketplace platform.

We do not:

Manufacture products
Store inventory
Inspect items
Handle shipping or fulfillment

All products are listed, sold, and fulfilled by independent Vendors.

Any contract of sale is between the customer and the Vendor, not Made with Love YYC.

We are not responsible for:

Product quality, safety, or legality
Shipping delays or delivery issues
Vendor descriptions, pricing errors, or stock availability

5. Orders, Payments & Fees

Payments on the Website are processed through third-party payment providers.

Vendors are responsible for:

Setting product prices
Determining shipping costs
Collecting and remitting applicable taxes

Made with Love YYC may collect a marketplace commission or service fee from Vendors for transactions completed through the platform.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping methods, timelines, and costs are determined by each individual Vendor.

Made with Love YYC is not liable for:

Lost or delayed shipments
Customs or import issues
Incorrect shipping information provided by customers

7. Returns, Refunds & Disputes

Each Vendor maintains their own return and refund policy.

Customers should:

Review the Vendor’s policies before purchasing
Contact the Vendor directly regarding order issues

Made with Love YYC may assist with communication between parties but does not guarantee dispute resolution.

8. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors agree that they:

Own or have the legal right to sell their listed products
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Accurately represent product descriptions and pricing
Fulfill orders in a timely and professional manner

Vendors are solely responsible for their listings, products, and customer interactions.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Website for unlawful purposes
Post false, misleading, or infringing content
Attempt to interfere with the Website’s operation
Circumvent marketplace fees or platform protections

10. Intellectual Property

All Website content (excluding Vendor content), including logos, text, graphics, and design, is owned by Made with Love YYC and may not be used without written permission.

Vendors retain ownership of their own content but grant Made with Love YYC a non-exclusive license to display their listings and images on the platform for marketplace operation and promotion.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Made with Love YYC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

Your use of the Website
Purchases made through the platform
Vendor products or services

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Made with Love YYC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the Website
Your violation of these Terms
Disputes between Vendors and customers

13. Privacy

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected and used.

15. Account Suspension or Termination

Labour disputes

18. Fraud & Suspicious Activity

We reserve the right to investigate suspected fraud, unauthorized transactions, or abusive chargeback activity.

Actions may include:

Suspending or terminating accounts
Cancelling transactions
Reporting illegal activity to authorities

19. Tax Responsibility

Vendors are solely responsible for:

Determining applicable taxes
Collecting required taxes
Reporting and remitting taxes to appropriate authorities

Made with Love YYC does not assume responsibility for Vendor tax compliance.

22. Platform Moderation & Content Removal

Made with Love YYC reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict listings, content, or Vendor accounts that violate these Terms, applicable laws, or the standards of the marketplace.

This may include, but is not limited to, items that are:

Illegal or prohibited by law
Unsafe or hazardous
Counterfeit or infringing on intellectual property
Misleading, deceptive, or inaccurately described

Made with Love YYC may take these actions at its discretion in order to protect the integrity of the marketplace and the safety of its users.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

22. Circumvention of Marketplace Fees

Users and Vendors agree not to circumvent the Made with Love YYC platform in order to avoid marketplace fees.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Directing customers to purchase items outside the Website after initial contact through the platform
Sharing contact information for the purpose of completing transactions outside the marketplace
Encouraging customers to cancel orders and complete payment outside the Website

Transactions that originate through Made with Love YYC must be completed through the platform.

Made with Love YYC reserves the right to take action against accounts that attempt to circumvent marketplace fees, including suspension or termination of accounts.
