Adding Images & Videos to Your Product Listing
1. How do I add my main product image?
Every product should have a Main Product Image. This is the primary image customers see in the shop and search results.
Steps:
Go to Vendor Dashboard → Products → Add Product
On the right side, find Product Image
Click Upload / Select Image
Choose your best photo of the product
Click Set Product Image
✅ Tip:
Use a clear, well-lit image showing the product by itself.
2. How do I add images to the product gallery?
We strongly recommend adding at least one gallery image.
Why?
On the shop page, when customers hover their mouse over the main product image, the second image from the gallery appears automatically. This creates a nice preview effect and makes your product look more professional.
Steps:
On the product page, find Product Gallery
Click Add Images
Upload at least one additional image
Save the product
Examples of good gallery photos:
• another angle of the product
• close-up details
• the product in use
• packaging or size comparison
⭐ Tip:
The first gallery image becomes the hover image on the main shop page.
3. Can I add a video to my product?
Yes! Adding a video can help customers understand your product better.
There are two places you can add a video:
Option 1
Add the video to the Short Description
Steps:
Scroll to Short Description
Click Add Media
Upload or paste your video
Insert it into the short description
✅ This places the video near the top of the product page, where customers will see it right away. (but it pushes important buying options lower down)
Option 2 (Recommended)
Add the video at the bottom of the Main Description
Steps:
Scroll to Description
Click Add Media
Insert your video
⚠️ When the video is added here, it appears below all the main product information, so customers may see it later.
Why isn’t my product visible yet?
Products may require review or approval before becoming publicly visible.
Can I edit a product after it’s published?
Yes. Vendors can edit product listings at any time from their dashboard.
Where do I see my orders?
All orders are available within your vendor dashboard.
How will I receive my payouts?
Currently, vendor payouts are sent via direct bank transfer or E-transfer once a withdrawal request has been approved.
We are working on adding additional payout options in the future to make withdrawals even more convenient for our vendors.
For now, please ensure your bank transfer / e-transfer details are entered correctly in your vendor dashboard so we can process your payouts without delays.
Why can’t I withdraw my earnings yet?
There are a couple of reasons why your earnings may not be available for withdrawal yet:
• Order completion waiting period – Funds become eligible for withdrawal 5 days after the order is marked as completed. This allows time for delivery confirmation, refunds, or any order issues to be resolved.
• Minimum withdrawal amount – Vendors must have at least $50 in available earnings before submitting a withdrawal request.
Once both conditions are met, you’ll be able to submit a withdrawal request from your vendor dashboard.
Can I hide my email or phone number from my store page?
Yes. Vendors can manage contact visibility settings within their dashboard.
What is a Digital Product?
A digital product is a downloadable or online item—such as a file, course, template, or artwork—that customers purchase and access electronically instead of receiving a physical product.
What is a virtual product and I am allowed to sell it?
Yes. Vendors may offer digital or downloadable products. eg. Printable stickers, Guides & E-Books, Songs, Albums, Knitting patterns, Artisan Services Voucher, etc…..
How are digital or Virtual products delivered?
Digital & Virtual products are delivered electronically upon successful purchase.
Can I offer sale coupons for my products?
Yes, if you look in your Vendor Dashboard, there is a “Coupons” setting. You can create various coupons and then share the Coupon Code with a few lucky people, or publicly post the coupon so that everyone can use it
What type of products can I sell on your website?
Vendors may sell handmade, artisan, and approved products that align with MadeWithLoveYYC guidelines.
What is a single product vs. a variable product?
A single product has one option. A variable product allows multiple variations such as size, color, or style.
What is a virtual or downloadable product?
A virtual or downloadable product is delivered electronically and does not require physical shipping.
Why does the vendor dashboard look so large or complex?
The dashboard includes many features to give vendors full control over their store, products, and orders.
Do I need to fill out every setting in the dashboard?
No. Only required settings need to be completed to begin selling.
Can I delete my vendor account?
Yes. Please contact MadeWithLoveYYC if you wish to close your account.
I am an artist and don’t want people to steal my images. What can I do?
We recommend adding a subtle watermark to your product images before uploading them. This helps protect your work while still allowing customers to view your designs clearly.
There are several free tools available online. For example, you can use a quick and easy watermark tool at:
Always keep a clean, high-resolution original version of your images stored securely for your own records.
Who is responsible for chargebacks or disputes?
Vendors are financially responsible for any chargebacks, payment disputes, or refund claims related to their products or services. If a chargeback or dispute occurs, the associated amount may be deducted from your available balance or future payouts.
Can I use my own domain name for my store?
Absolutely!
Vendors are welcome to purchase their own custom domain name (for example, YourStoreName.ca) and point it directly to their shop on MadeWithLoveYYC.
This allows you to promote your own branded web address while using our marketplace platform — no separate website required.
Your domain would point to your store page, which looks like this:
https://madewithloveyyc.ca/store/yourstorename/
We recommend GoDaddy for first-time domain purchases, as their introductory pricing is often very affordable. If you need assistance with purchasing or connecting your domain, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help.
Is my store secure?
Yes. All MadeWithLoveYYC store pages use SSL encryption (https), ensuring customer information and transactions are securely protected.
Payments are processed through trusted, secure payment gateways, and vendors do not need to manage their own security certificates.
Your customers can shop with confidence.
Can I Have More Than One Vendor Account?
Yes — you can have more than one vendor account on MadeWithLoveYYC.
However, if you use Google Login (or any social login), your browser may automatically sign you back into the same account without asking which email you want to use.
How to Log Into a Second Vendor Account
If you manage two vendor accounts with different Google emails, please use one of the following methods:
Option 1 (Recommended): Use an Incognito / Private Window
Open a new Incognito (Chrome) or Private (Firefox/Edge/Safari) window
Click “Continue with Google”
Choose the correct Google account
This prevents your browser from automatically logging you into the first account.
Option 2: Use Separate Browser Profiles
Create a separate Chrome/Edge browser profile for each vendor account. This keeps logins completely separate and avoids confusion
** Important **
If you do not use a private window or separate browser profile, Google may automatically log you into the last account used, and you may not see the account selection screen.
Do I have to show my home address publicly? How does pickup work?
No. MadeWithLoveYYC does not require vendors to publicly display their home address.
Your privacy and safety are important to us. If you are a home-based artisan, you are not expected to list your street address on your public store page. You may choose to display your city or general area (e.g., Calgary, SE), or no location at all.
If you offer local pickup, here’s how it works:
A customer places their order.
You receive the order notification.
You contact the customer directly.
Together, you agree on a pickup date, time, and safe meeting location.
Pickup details are shared privately after purchase — not publicly on your storefront.
Vendors are free to offer:
Shipping
Local pickup
Local Delivery
Or any combination that works best for their business.
You remain in full control of how you sell.
What should I do if I’m stuck or confused?
Contact us anytime — we’re happy to help.
